Sunday Morning Worship 6.7.20

Good Monday morning!

Below is the edited recording of yesterday’s Sunday morning worship. Scripture reading is Genesis 1:1-2:4a. Please have your communion elements ready.

We had 15 in worship yesterday. People were spaced out, most were masked. Everyone honored good social distancing practices. As you will see, our first attempt at recording a live worship did come with some technical issues.

The second camera, for recording the music, shut off early in the worship. This prevented the recording of Mary Gaines at the piano. All that was recorded during the congregational singing were my solos. So, as an act of mercy, those have been edited out. We will work on getting that issue solved this week.

The congregation was not “miked” so you cannot hear the congregation’s response in the Call to Worship. Here is the Call to Worship.

Call to Worship*  (Psalm 8, selected verses)
L/ O Lord, our Sovereign, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
P/ When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the
moon and the stars that you have established;
L/ What are human beings that you are mindful of them, mortals
that you care for them?
P/ Yet you have made them a little lower than God, and crowned
them with glory and honor.

All/ O Lord, our Sovereign, how majestic is your name in all the earth!

New Prayer Concerns: The family of Teddy Smith (Hiram’s nephew), who died of an overdose in late March; Orlean, Ray, Kenny, and Michael Smolek (Hiram’s sister and her family), have all have been diagnosed with COVID-19; Mary Gaines Lock is fighting high blood pressure; Michael Lassanske (Paul’s son), is a Milwaukee police officer who has served sixteen straight days on the job (and counting) in highly stressful times; and, let us remember to pray for all of our first responders and active military personnel.

God bless! Greg
